My affiliation with Dalhousie began as a mature student in the ‘80’s, first with the BA program, then with a sequential BEd. I loved my years as a student at Dal and I continued my studies at the University of Calgary where I completed an MA. My career in post secondary education began in Alberta as a teacher, then program coordinator. I returned home to Nova Scotia in the late ‘90’s and I worked as a teacher as well as in Management and Administration at Saint Mary’s University, with the Nova Scotia government, Mount Saint Vincent University, and finally at Dalhousie from 2002 to 2018.
My affiliation with Dalhousie was enhanced when my daughter became a Dal student and I began my employment in Dal’s Faculty of Graduate Studies as the Faculty’s Graduate Program Officer. My daughter married a fellow Dal grad and we consider ourselves a proud Dalhousie family.
I enjoy and treasure all my affiliations with Dal and I look forward to contributing to the ADRP Board as a Director-at-Large in the 25/26 year.
