Annual Ice Cream Social & Shakespeare by the Sea

Cambridge Battery, Point Pleasant Park
Enjoy one of the highlights of the summer with your ADRP colleagues! Join us at 6:00 p.m. for ice cream, conversation, and a relaxing evening in beautiful Point Pleasant Park before settling into our reserved Sweet Seats.
At 7:00 p.m., we'll enjoy Shakespeare by the Sea's hilarious production of "Julius Caesar" - an unforgettable outdoor theatre experience under the summer sky (including hungry insects).
Great company, delicious ice cream, and an evening of laughter make this an event you won't want to miss!
Seats are limited. Act now. $16 per person for ARDP member and guest.
To reserve your seats:
- Email Susan Holmes at Socials@theadrp.ca with name(s) and cell number(s) to reserve your seat(s).
- E-transfer $16 per person to Treasurer@theadrp.ca for each member and guest, indicating that it's for "Sweet Seats". Note - regular price for Sweet Seats is $32 per person (with group discount and taxes).
If you require the golf cart to transport you from the upper parking lot to Cambridge Battery, it must be reserved by calling 902-422-0295 before 4:00 p.m. of the day of the performance. The earliest pick up time at the upper parking lot is 6:10 p.m.
Note: Tower Road Bridge is under construction so that this part of Tower Road is not open for vehicle or pedestrian traffic. Use Young Avenue as an alternate route to the upper parking lot.
Weather: You will get an email by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the show if it is cancelled due to weather, with instructions on how to rebook your rain date.
A monthly Dal - AC Coffee & Chat is held in the Truro area on the first Thursday of every month starting at 10:00 a.m. Starting in June, it will be held in the Alumni Gardens on the Dal-AC campus (at the Food Court in the Hub Mall on Robie Street on rainy days). Bring your own beverage when chats are held in the Alumni Gardens.
Later in the year (usually starting in November), the group gathers at the Food Court in the Hub Mall, Robie Street.
