A monthly Coffee & Chat meeting is held in the Truro area on the first Thursday of every month starting at 10:00 a.m. Until November it will be held in the Alumni Gardens on the Dal-AC campus. Bring your own refreshments as there is no food service provided.

At other times of the year, the group gathers at the Food Court in the Hub Mall, Robie Street. All are welcome!

The advantages of using Pilots Pub include adjacent parking, ready accessibility, location 200 yards from the Woodside Ferry Terminal, ready access via Metro Transit’s #6a,b,c buses, well known to Metro taxi (and possibly uber) drivers, and the fact that Pilots Pub often has a special pre-Christmas drinks menu. They also offer regular “specials” listed on a white-board inside the front door.

Movement is Medicine - from Mocean Dance

Using dance and creativity to move through winter, starting January 27, 2026

Local dance company Mocean Dance brings free dance programs for older adults at two Halifax locations; Halifax Central Library and Northwood Central.

Communities in Mocean - Older Adults Centre Stage is a new program that supports retirees and seniors to take part in a community-led artistic process building their own dance creation for a public sharing. The goal of Communities in Mocean - Older Adults Centre Stage is to bring the social participation and inclusion of seniors to the forefront of dance participation. Mocean Dance specializes in community engagement, using dance as a vehicle to bring health and wellness, improve social well-being, and boost community vitality through the joy of the movement arts.

Program Details: Monday 10:30-11:30 - Northwood Central (open to the public) and Monday 1:00-2:15pm - Halifax Central Library.   Dates: Jan 27, Feb 3, 10, 24, Mar 3, 10, 17, 24

On Saturday, January 31, join ADRP members and friends at Gahan House at 11:45 a.m. for lunch. This provides a great opportunity to socialize before attending the afternoon's theatre performance. Lunch is on your own tab with appetizers provided by ADRP. Please confirm your attendance for lunch with Secretary@theadrp.ca so reservations can be made. 

The Neptune production is Mad Madge at 2 p.m. on the Fountain Hall Stage .
