The CURAC/ARUCC online series "Retiree Association Conversations"
The first session, CURAC Affinity Partnerships and Their Perks, is on October 16, 2025 at 2 p.m. ADT.
The goal of the session is to ensure that retirees who are members of a CURAC/ARUCC retiree association (ADRP is one) are aware of the breadth of perks available to them through CURAC/ARUCC. The conversation will be facilitated by Ron Champion, Chair of CURAC/ARUCC's Affinity Marketing Committee.

In collaboration with the Seniors' College Association of Nova Scotia(SCANS), the ADRP is co-sponsoring this 6-week course.
There is no charge for ADRP members who register by emailing Secretary@theadrp.ca, providing 1) your preferred email address and 2) cell phone number. This information will be passed along to SCANS to add to the class list.

Dr. Sue Hutchinson (https://www.retiredyou.com), a Dalhousie retiree and ADRP member, is an expert on lifestyle planning for the retirement transition. Retirees, both recent and longer term, will benefit from taking this course. Dr. Hutchinson's courses for retirees have been well received!
Movement is Medicine - Using dance and creativity to move throughout the year

Local dance company Mocean Dance brings free dance programs for older adults.
Moving with Mocean are open dance classes held at the Halifax Central Library. This program is a gentle dance class designed for inclusivity and aimed to create a sense of community in a creative atmosphere. The dance class will awaken your breath connection, mobilize your joints, and bring a little extra movement excitement to your day. Upcoming program dates are Oct 31, Nov 7, 1 4, and 21 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the Central Library.
A monthly Coffee & Chat meeting is held in the Truro area on the first Thursday of every month starting at 10 a.m. Until November it will be held in the Alumni Gardens on the Dal-AC campus. Bring your own refreshments as there is no food service provided.
At other times of the year, the group gathers at the Food Court in the Hub Mall, Robie Street. All are welcome!
