I started my relationship with Dalhousie in the late seventies as a part-time, mature student.  I had been working as a legal secretary, first in Sydney and later in Halifax, prior to coming to Dal for studies.  My major was political science.  I was fascinated with and involved with student politics.  In 1982 I was elected to the position of Community Affairs Secretary with the Dalhousie Student Union (DSU). Subsequently, in 1983, I became the VP Student Services for the DSU.  This defined my major passion for the rest of my working life.

Later I completed a Masters degree in Public Administration at Dal.  I worked first at Dal in Student Services and then I took a major leap in my career when I accepted the position of  Director of Student Services at the University of Northern British Columbia.

In 2007 I moved to Saskatoon to take on an even higher profile as the Student Services Director for the Saskatchewan Polytechnic (previously SIAST).  I retired in 2016 and returned to Nova Scotia.

I bring to the ADRP a wealth of experience with Dal as a former student and then as a student service professional.
