Ann had a long and interesting career as a health sciences librarian in Canada and abroad, after graduating from Dal with her Master of Library Service (MLS) in 1981.  Tenures as hospital librarian at Tawam Hospital in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and medical librarian at University of Papua New Guinea were exciting international opportunities. In Canada she was hospital librarian at the Saint John Regional Hospital and, for a short time, librarian at the National Research Council Institute for Marine Biosciences (NRC-IMB).  She finally settled at Dalhousie and the W. K. Kellogg Health Sciences Library, where she served students and faculty in the health sciences for many years.  At retirement, Ann was Head Librarian of the Kellogg Library and Associate Dean of the Dalhousie Libraries.

During retirement she enjoys volunteering for Women for Music working on their famous book sales, playing the flute in ensemble at the music conservatory, reading, travelling, knitting, and spending time with her two children and extended family.
